Honesty over hype
Resumello exists to make resumes stronger and true. Our advice never recommends inflating a title, claiming someone else's work, or choosing a verb you couldn't defend in an interview. Every synonym page includes the cases where the stronger word is the wrong word.
Real data or no data
Every statistic we publish traces to a named source — most come from our own study of 800 real resumes, with the full methodology and its limitations disclosed. We do not invent percentages, cite unverifiable surveys, or fabricate reviews. If we don't have a number, we don't use one.
Drafted with AI, reviewed by people
We build AI resume software, and we use AI in our own writing the same way we ask you to: as a drafting tool whose output gets checked. Content is drafted with AI assistance against our style and accuracy standards, then reviewed before publishing. Statistics are never AI-generated — they are transcribed from our published research.
Kept current
Each page shows the date of its last substantive update. When our research or the hiring landscape changes, pages are revised — and the update date only changes when the content meaningfully does.
Our sources
The statistics across our resume word bank come from our study of 800 real resumes, which analyzed 14,669 resume lines and scored a 300-resume sample with the production ATS engine behind our free tools. The study’s methodology section documents the datasets, measures, and limitations. Product-behavior claims (how our tools score, what our checks catch) are grounded in the software itself.
